This is a five-year integrated double degree programme leading to the award of a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. The programme follows a semester system, consisting of ten semesters spread over five academic years. It is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in both the liberal arts and legal studies.
Structure of the B.A., LL.B. Degree
The integrated B.A., LL.B. course combines studies in the humanities and law. The arts component of the programme includes fourteen papers: eight in English, three in Economics, and three in Political Science. The law component comprises thirty papers, offering in-depth exposure to various branches of legal education. The academic workload is distributed evenly over ten semesters, ensuring a balanced and progressive learning experience.
Admission and Number of Seats
A total of 66 students will be admitted to the programme each academic year. Admission to 50% of the seats will be based on the Kerala State Entrance Test. The remaining 50% of the seats will be filled according to the institutional norms, based on merit, which is determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
